Profarma, one of Brazil's largest pharmaceutical distribution and retail networks, sought solutions to optimize energy consumption across its units. Focused on sustainability and cost-saving, the company partnered with Diel Energia to manage and control the refrigeration systems in 187 stores of the Drogasmil, Drogaria Rosário, Drogaria Tamoio e Farmalife networks. The goal was to reduce electricity consumption by 15% (kWh) and minimize CO₂ emissions into the atmosphere.
Expansion with Technology and Efficiency
In the initial phase of the project, all of the group's stores were included, with the system prepared to integrate new units as part of Profarma's expansion plan. The solution enables the identification of inefficient equipment or systems that consume excessive energy, promoting predictive maintenance and avoiding unexpected costs.
Reinforced Environmental Impact
In addition to using electricity compensated by photovoltaic farms, which already allows Profarma to neutralize around636 tons of CO₂, the new partnership with Diel strengthens the company’s sustainability efforts.
